Last Friday, the annual Strategic Collaboration Symposium (ESCS) of the Chair of Electrical Smart City Systems took place in the Orangery of the Schlossgarten. With a broad selection of speakers from different backgrounds, the event promised an exciting insight into the latest developments and trends in the topics of the Chair and its cooperation partners.

The symposium began with an inspiring opening speech by the head of the chair Prof. Dr. Norman Franchi. In his presentation, he outlined the rapid development of the chair, both in terms of the topics addressed and the number of employees. The audience was fascinated by the potential that lies both in the topics dealt with by the Chair and in its employees.

Various cooperation partners from the fields of mobile communications, 5G and 6G presented their (research) work in short talks. The current challenges and innovative approaches in the answers to the research questions stimulated discussions and lively conversations. There were plenty of opportunities for this during the breaks between the presentations with a plentiful buffet.
The symposium was organised in collaboration with the KI Park. As an ecosystem, it is the perfect partner for events that focus on collaboration, cooperation and teamwork. KI Park enriched the symposium with a presentation and a discussion corner.

Overall, the Evolving Strategic Collaboration Symposium was a great success. The variety of speakers and their focus helped to paint a comprehensive picture of current developments and challenges in the field of secure and resilient communication and cloud technologies for smart cities. Participants left the event with new insights, inspired and motivated to continue working together on the digital transformation.

We would like to thank all speakers and participants for their contributions to this now annual symposium.
